If you’ve read over the about page and find yourself interested in being a part of this book club, great! Please read the (very few) guidelines and points below. You will be registered as a Subscriber, which means you cannot do anything but read and comment on others’ posts, until your membership is approved. In the mean time, I will be verifying that you are a current member of the Quilting Bee.
- This book club was created for all ages and as such, several different kinds of books will be read. Nothing too obscene or obviously inappropriate will be read; however, some cursing or sexual situations may be in some selections. If this makes you uncomfortable, you may skip those books.
- Please use the name you use on the Quilting Bee website as your login name, not an arbitrary nickname/username. To make my life easier, include your number somewhere; you can edit that later. Your email address will not be posted.
- Oh, in case I forgot to mention it somewhere… This is a book club geared towards members of the Quilting Bee. Unfortunately, it is exclusive to the club’s current and past members. If you’re not a member, why don’t you head on over and find out what it’s about?
- When posting, use language appropriate for our younger members. Please do not be rude.
- It’s okay to go off topic a bit sometimes, but discussions entirely unconnected to the book club would be better discussed on your own blogs or through email. I encourage you all to make friends with one another, but remember that this is primarily for discussing books! :) *Note: There is a category for general book/reading thoughts and discussion.
- Please try to post as grammatically correct as you can. Also, all posts must be made in English, but if you speak/write English as a second language, we will forgive some grammatical errors. :) Just refrain from using Netspeak.
Book recommendations are ALWAYS welcome! If you are a member of the book club (and especially a new one), please head over to Hev’s area at B.PBC.NET to recommend a book. Thanks!
